Intel India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the IndiaAI Mission, a government initiative, to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) skill development and innovation across the country. This collaboration aims to empower students, professionals, startups, and government leaders to harness AI for social development and effective governance.
According to Intel, the MoU sets the stage for joint efforts to boost AI competencies through targeted programs designed to generate meaningful impact in both the private and public sectors.
The alliance will drive four key initiatives: YuvaAI, StartupAI, IndiaAI Dialogues, and support for Bhashini to expand AI access in remote areas.
Under YuvaAI, Intel’s AI for Youth program will help school students build AI-driven solutions aimed at societal challenges.
StartupAI will assist emerging AI startups by offering access to Intel’s technology platforms, business mentoring, and market readiness support via the Intel Startup Program.
IndiaAI Dialogues, in conjunction with Intel’s Digital Readiness for Leaders initiative, will engage policymakers and public sector leaders through workshops and immersive learning to strengthen AI policy and governance.
Additionally, the partnership will help scale the Bhashini language platform to reach underserved classrooms, breaking language barriers and improving educational outcomes.
A data lab is also being established to provide hands-on training in data science and AI for young learners, noted Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at MeitY and CEO of the IndiaAI Mission.
“Our collaboration with Intel under YuvaAI has already trained thousands of students in AI fundamentals. We’re excited to deepen this partnership and benefit from Intel’s global expertise,” Singh added.
