In 2015, when Shivendra Upadhyay and Bibha Kumari learned that their son had been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their world shifted. Despite their professional backgrounds in tech and corporate sectors—Upadhyay’s stints include HCL and Oracle, while Kumari worked with Accenture, TCS, and Dell—they found navigating autism therapy fragmented and overwhelming. Their biggest realization: the system lacked cohesion. Parents, therapists, special educators, and doctors all operated in silos, making it difficult to coordinate care and track outcomes effectively. 

“Even though everyone had the child’s best interest at heart, there was barely any structured collaboration between stakeholders,” says Upadhyay.

Running Twinklez Centre not only gave them insight into therapy needs but also exposed systemic inefficiencies—from overworked therapists buried in paperwork to overwhelmed parents navigating jargon-heavy reports. 

“Our tech background helped us see how digitization and automation could reduce these frictions,” says Kumari. By merging their domain experience with advanced technologies, they’ve created a solution that is both empathetic and intelligent. 

A Growing Community of Support 

Since its beta launch, Krivi.ai has seen overwhelmingly positive feedback from therapy centers, clinicians, and educators. The app is currently free for early users—allowing the team to gather input and refine features before transitioning to a tiered subscription model, including B2C, B2B, and B2B2C options.

“Autism care is not one-size-fits-all,” says Kumari. “Our platform needs to reflect the diversity of needs and cultural contexts across geographies.” 

Future updates will also include AI-driven recommendations, integration with wearable devices for behavior tracking, and training modules for caregivers and educators.
